Newborn photo sessions can take a while, and one fun thing about that is that it gives me lots of time to talk with the new parents and learn all of the unique things about their baby and their story. I got to hear the story of how Baby Matt’s mom was due at the end of November but was hoping for a December baby since she was born in December and has always loved Christmas. Baby Matt threatened to arrive in the last hours of November, but waited just until the first few hours of December to make his debut so that mama could have her Christmas baby! I love that I got to hear that story because it makes this Christmas-themed newborn session all the more special!
I hear that Grandma picked out the Santa outfit that Matt wore for a few of these photos, and I think we can all agree now that a newborn in a Santa suit is just about the cutest thing ever. 🙂 Here are a few of my favorite shots from this session!
